It's time to Switch to Green!

The United Nations of Australia (ACT) is pleased to announce the second annual Switch to Green Expo and Conference.

Following the success of last year’s event, Switch to Green 2009 will take place on 10 – 12 September addressing Canberra’s progress in its bid to become a Carbon Neutral Capital.

Co – hosted by the ACT Government, Canberra Business Council, The Conservation Council of the SE Region & Canberra, and most recently confirmed, the Property Council of Australia and ANU Climate Change Institute, Switch to Green is a great opportunity to track and consider Canberra’s movement towards a green and sustainable future.

Bringing together key stakeholders of the ACT community from government, community, business, academics and scientists, the Switch to Green conference will offer new insights into the implications of climate change for the ACT region. Whilst the Expo will showcase the best in ‘green’ products and services available to the public, demonstrating practical and tangible steps which can be made to help us live ‘a greener lifestyle’ and reduce our carbon footprint.

The initiatives and programs of the ACT government, green businesses, and residents are helping to progress the ACT towards becoming a carbon neutral capital. But more must be done urgently…
